Warmer weather and rising temperatures expected by weekend

Currently, cold and humid air masses have entered the territory of Uzbekistan, as a result of which rain and snow are being observed in some areas. On March 11–12, the air temperature at night will be around –1…–3 degrees, and in some places it may drop to –5 degrees. During the daytime, the temperature is expected to remain within 0…+5 degrees.

In some regions the wind speed will reach 13–18 meters per second. In the Fergana Valley, at times the wind may strengthen up to 22–25 m/s.

Also, in foothill and mountainous areas there remains a risk of mudflows and snow avalanches.

However, starting from Thursday, the cold weather will gradually begin to retreat. By the end of the week, the daytime temperature is expected to rise to +10…+15 degrees.
