The number of sustainable entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan has increased, rankings have been updated

Positive dynamics are being observed in Uzbekistan’s business environment. As of April 24, 2026, it was reported that 2.1 thousand entrepreneurs were given a high stability rating. Among them, 335 entities reached the highest — AAA level.
Experts noted that since the stability assessment system was introduced, the number of business entities with high ratings has increased by 1.3 times. This means that the business environment in the country is gradually improving.
At the same time, significant disparities still remain in the overall picture. For example, while 64.4 thousand entrepreneurs were assessed at a medium level of stability, 226.2 thousand entities were placed in the satisfactory category. The largest number — 294.7 thousand entrepreneurs — were found to have a low rating.
By sector, the best result was recorded in trade, where 690 companies achieved high stability. The services sector ranks second with 654 entities. In industry, 506 entrepreneurs received high ratings.
Indicators in agriculture and construction are much lower. A total of 106 and 59 companies, respectively, were included in the high stability category. This shows that systematic problems still remain in these sectors.
Looking at the regional distribution, the capital traditionally leads. In Tashkent city, 709 entrepreneurs have high ratings. It is followed by Tashkent region (258), Samarkand region (180) and Fergana region (152).
In short, the business environment is growing in a “slow but steady” manner. But the number of low-rated entities is still large — meaning there is still much work ahead, and competition will be even tougher.
