President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to Xi Jinping

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to PRC President Xi Jinping in connection with the numerous deaths and injuries caused by an explosion at a coal mine in China's Shanxi province.

The head of state wished patience to the families and loved ones of the deceased and a speedy recovery to those injured. This was announced by the President's press secretary.

According to reports, the tragedy occurred on May 22 at the 'Lyushenyuy' coal mine in northern China. At least 90 people died as a result of a gas explosion.

It is reported that 247 workers were in the mine at the time of the incident. Chinese leader Xi Jinping has demanded the acceleration of rescue operations, a thorough investigation, and that those responsible be held accountable.
