In Cairo, Egypt, the life of a 13-year-old teenager tragically ended: the boy simultaneously ate three packs of instant noodles raw and died due to severe stress on the body and health problems. The incident occurred in the Al-Marg district.
When police officers arrived at the boy’s home, his body was found without any external injuries. Preliminary investigation determined that the boy ate three packs of raw noodles at once, and this quantity caused a heavy load on his body, leading to acute problems with blood circulation and the digestive system.
The prosecution decided to detain the owner of the store that sold this product. Samples of the noodles were taken for laboratory examination, and the boy’s body was sent for forensic medical examination. According to preliminary results, the product complies with standards, but it was noted that consuming an excessive amount raw can be dangerous for the body.
Instant noodles, known under the name “Indomie,” are especially popular among young people in Egypt because they are cheap and easy to prepare. In recent years, several unpleasant incidents related to this product have been reported. Experts note that some ingredients, including monosodium glutamate and preservatives, may negatively affect health when consumed in large amounts or over a long period.
At the same time, the Egyptian National Nutrition Institute stated that there is currently no scientific evidence proving that instant noodles directly cause death. According to specialists, such tragedies are more often associated with improper consumption of the product, hasty and excessive eating, or violation of storage conditions.
This incident alarmed not only local residents but also internet users and social media followers. Many express condolences to the family and relatives of the boy and talk about the need to update reminders about quantity and consumption conditions for youth.
