Diplomats on the way to peace negotiations died in accident

On October 11, a Qatari delegation was involved in a traffic accident near the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh while traveling to participate in negotiations on membership in Gaza. According to official sources, three diplomats working in the Qatari Protocol Service were killed, and three others were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The incident occurred during the peace negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar, the US, and Egypt. Currently, important meetings in Sharm el-Sheikh are discussing agreements on stopping the bloodshed in the region, withdrawing military forces, and exchanging hostages.

It was reported that the peace plan came into force on the night of October 10. Currently, US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres are participating in the negotiations.

The Qatari delegation participated in these negotiations as an active mediator. Officials have not yet stated how the Transpartavariya disaster will affect the peace process.

International politicians and observers assess this event as a heavy loss at a very sensitive time. The possibility of an increase in the number of victims is not excluded.
