According to him, by 2030, gadgets in people's hands will be replaced by a new generation of devices based on artificial intelligence. Musk said this during a conversation with journalist Joe Rogan on October 31.
According to Musk, today's smartphones are actually part of an artificial intelligence system, that is, they serve as a node for video and data analysis. They are equipped with radio modules designed only for communication and are not real "smart devices."
According to the technology leader, in the future, the user's device will connect directly to AI servers and process data in real time. This means that humans no longer communicate directly with artificial intelligence through applications or operating systems.
"In the next 5-6 years, we will abandon the classic concept of'smartphone.' It will be replaced by intelligent devices that operate on the screen and through audio, sensing the user's thoughts in advance," Musk said.
According to him, artificial intelligence will develop so much that it will be able to anticipate a person's needs, mood, and even intentions. Such settings make interaction with the user a natural conversation.
