
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkiyan donated his monthly salary to the construction of schools in the country. This was announced by the head of the National Organization for the Repair, Development and Equipping of Schools, Rizo Khanmuhammadi.
According to reports, the president participated in a meeting with the construction industry and donors on October 30th and promised to personally allocate funds. A day later, on November 1, he officially transferred his salary to the account of the national campaign "Build a School."
Masoud Pezeshkiyon was elected president in July 2024. He worked as a cardiac surgeon before entering politics and headed the University of Medicine of Tabriz.
The "Build School" program, launched in Iran in the fall, calls on citizens to participate in the construction and renovation of educational institutions. The President's initiative was positively received by the public, and many assessed it as an exemplary step.
