A new project on ecology and water resources protection will be implemented in Uzbekistan. The Chinese company Qingyan Environmental Technology plans to build a modern facility in our country with a wastewater treatment capacity of 40 thousand cubic meters per day.
As part of the project, air filtration systems and modern cleaning equipment will be installed. The system, operating on the basis of a four-stage technological chain, allows for the processing of wastewater from industrial zones and paint production enterprises.
The facility fully complies with European environmental standards. At least 60 percent of the treated water will be reused. At the same time, the sludge formed during the cleaning process is processed through a special drying system and used in the production of electricity.
The project will be implemented on the principle of public-private partnership. Chinese investors will undertake to manage and maintain the facility for 15 years. The cost of purifying one cubic meter of water is approximately 1-1.2 dollars. Construction is expected to be completed in 8 months.
Earlier, it was reported that the construction of a large industrial complex worth $350 million has begun in the Bulakbashi district of the Andijan region in cooperation between Uzbekistan and China. It is planned to organize enterprises for the production of polypropylene bags, concrete products, and sidewalk tiles.
Also, a Chinese company has begun construction of a waste incineration plant worth $141 million in Fergana. This project is considered one of the important steps towards ensuring processing and environmental sustainability in the country.
