On the morning of November 18, a fire broke out in a two-story private house in the village of Algabas, Turkestan region, Kazakhstan. According to Otyrar.kz, the number of victims was 12, and most painfully, 9 of them were young children.
Local authorities determined that the deceased children were born between 2009 and 2024. There were 5 children in one family - 3 girls and 2 boys. A girl born in 2018 was rescued from the second family and is currently under hospital observation. A total of 3 people were hospitalized, 2 people and one child remain in intensive care.
According to the prosecutor's office, after the family celebrated the circumcision ceremony, relatives returned home and continued the celebration. In the morning, a fire broke out in the house and caused significant damage in a very short time.
The khokim of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhon Kusherov, went to the scene of the tragedy, studied the situation, checked on the victims, and promised that the investigation would be conducted completely and impartially. The funeral is under the control of the regional administration.
