Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking with journalists in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, categorically denied claims circulating in the media in recent days that "Sergey Lavrov has incurred the wrath of the president." The president emphasized that such reports are unfounded and do not correspond to any truth.
Commenting on the rumors, Putin sharply criticized them and called them "absurd." According to the head of state, the Russian Foreign Minister is acting on the basis of his clear work plan and continues to fulfill the tasks assigned to him.
"He was not subjected to any anger. He has his own work schedule. He told me what he was busy with at what time. He is currently preparing for a meeting with American partners," Putin said.
In November 2025, some media outlets and social networks reported that Lavrov "received a harsh reprimand from Putin," and some observers even attributed this to the Russian Foreign Ministry's transition to a new format for upcoming "peace talks." However, after the president's direct statement, it became clear that these rumors were far from the truth.
According to political analysts, such false reports are often widespread at a time of high interest in a serious topic on the global agenda - peace negotiations. But the official position is clear: Lavrov is in his position, working according to plan, and preparing for the next diplomatic dialogue with Washington.
This statement once again clarified the stability of Russia's foreign policy and the groundlessness of views that "there are problems" in domestic decision-making processes.
