A woman who came to work early every day in Spain was fired

In Spain, a woman working in a delivery service was deprived of her employment contract for arriving at work earlier than scheduled. Although this appears to be a matter of order and responsibility, the company considered such an action to be contrary to internal regulations.

The woman's contract stipulated that work would begin at 07:30. However, he arrived regularly between 06:45-07:00, starting his shift earlier. Management has repeatedly explained that this habit can interfere with the duty schedule, disrupt the balance in the work process, and cause discomfort within the team.

Despite an official warning issued in 2023, the employee continued to arrive early. The company assessed this as a violation of discipline and decided to fire the woman.

The company's statement emphasized that his early arrival did not benefit the work process; on the contrary, it negatively impacted the distribution of responsibilities.

The woman, dissatisfied with this decision, appealed to the Alicante Social Court. However, the court supported the employer's side and noted that the employee did not stop his actions despite repeated warnings.

In Spain, labor discipline and working hours are strictly controlled. Therefore, even a seemingly positive "early arrival" can be considered a violation of discipline from a legislative point of view.
