Three police officers and six militants killed in Turkey raid

In Yalova, Turkey, a raid on a suspected house killed three police officers and six militants. During the raid, eight police and one security officer were injured.

All the militants who died were Turkish citizens, and five women and six children were found alive in the house. In the past month, 138 suspects were arrested and 108 addresses were checked across the country.

The operation lasted several hours; smoke and fire were seen near the house, and police took control of the area. President Tayyip Erdogan expressed condolences to the families of the police and said the fight against the dangerous group will continue.

Such operations are increasing in Turkey as the group has become active again. Attacks in 2015-2017 posed serious threats, and Turkey was a route for militants during the Syria war.
