Trump threatens to intervene in Iran’s internal affairs

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he is ready to support protesters if Iranian security forces fire on them. Protests continue in western regions and several people have died.
Iranian officials rejected Trump’s statement and warned that U.S. interference could destabilize the Middle East. Iran’s UN representative called on the Security Council to condemn Trump’s words.
The protests are caused by high inflation and economic difficulties. In western provinces, protesters clashed with police and government buildings, and in some places cars and motorcycles were set on fire. At least 10 people have died and hundreds have been injured.
Trump’s threat came after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Iranian government is taking measures to stop the protests, while President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed readiness to discuss economic issues with protesters.
