According to North Korea’s state news agency KCNA, US strikes on Venezuela were described as “the most serious encroachment of sovereignty.” This was stated by a spokesperson for North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
KCNA’s statement noted that the incident is another example that clearly confirms the “rogue and brutal nature of the United States.” North Korea’s leadership said the situation in Venezuela “has caused catastrophic consequences for maintaining the identity of the regional and international relations system.”
The statement came after US military strikes. On the same day, North Korea conducted missile tests, coinciding with the South Korean leader’s state visit to China. China is North Korea’s main ally.
North Korea called on the international community to pay attention to US military actions and policies that threaten regional stability. The incident is expected to remain an important topic in regional and global politics.
