US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Politico, stated that the time has come to renew power in Iran. He sharply criticized the Iranian leader, calling him "sick," and assessed the difficult situation in the country as a consequence of ineffective governance.
According to Trump, due to incorrect policies and weak leadership, Iran has become one of the most disadvantaged countries in the world today. He emphasized that the existing system of governance hinders the well-being of the Iranian people.
According to the publication, these statements were made following critical posts posted on the social network X (formerly Twitter) on behalf of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenai. In these posts, Donald Trump was indicated as responsible for the victims and destruction caused to the Iranian people.
