Today, February 19, the first meeting of the "Peace Council" was held in Washington. The event was broadcast live on the official White House platforms. The meeting took place at the United States Institute of Peace Square in Washington, D.C., RIA Novosti reports.
At the summit, the head of the host state, Donald Trump, introduced the participants one by one, and when it was Shavkat Mirziyoyev's turn, a warm atmosphere was created in the hall.
Trump did not hide that he had a slight difficulty pronouncing the surname of the President of Uzbekistan and explained this as a joke. He called Mirziyoyev his friend and emphasized that his surname is "one of the most complex surnames in history."
- "President of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev, where he is, he is here, he is my friend, he has one of the most complex surnames in history, but this is nothing. This is not important," Trump said at the first meeting of the Peace Council.
It was emphasized that this summit is considered an important platform aimed at strengthening international cooperation and ensuring stability and peace in the region.
