Various reports circulated on social media that an Uzbek citizen was detained after insultingly portraying people rushing to a bomb shelter when an alarm sounded in Israel. However, in the official statement on the situation, the main emphasis is on the dissatisfaction caused by the video and consular control, and it is not yet visible that the "detention" has been firmly confirmed in official open sources. Therefore, it is important to approach this situation with caution.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, on February 28 of this year, a citizen of Uzbekistan N.Kh. posted a video on TikTok at the time of the threat of a missile attack and the sound of sirens. The inappropriate and inappropriate words in it later spread widely in the Israeli social media segment and caused serious discontent among the local public. Official sources have also noted that security warnings have been intensified in Israel these days, and immediate evacuation is required during sirens.
Following this, according to reports, Israeli citizen A.X. contacted the police regarding the incident. Upon learning of the situation, the consular department of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel immediately acted: a corresponding explanatory conversation was held with citizen N.Kh. Commentary and dialogue were also conducted with the Israeli citizen who applied.
The most important part of the official statement is that at the moment, a citizen of Uzbekistan N.Kh. is in safe conditions, and this issue is under the control of the consular department of the embassy. This means that, contrary to the sensational interpretations on social networks, the situation is under diplomatic surveillance. In addition, in recent days, the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Israel has repeatedly warned citizens to strictly observe safety rules, immediately seek shelter at the sound of sirens, and refrain from provocative actions.
In this regard, the Embassy calls on all citizens of Uzbekistan in Israel to strictly comply with the requirements of local legislation, to exercise extreme caution in their actions, and to refrain from the dissemination of any harsh or controversial content. During missile attacks, it is once again emphasized that it is vitally important to fully comply with all security instructions issued by the Israeli Home Front Command. The conclusion is simple: in a critical situation, a single thoughtless statement or inappropriate video can become a big problem.
