According to information disseminated by the Tasnim news agency, Iran has officially stated that it will not participate in potential negotiations with the US in Islamabad via Pakistan. It was also emphasized that no request for an extension of the truce period has been sent by Tehran to the US.
The statements also addressed the issue of restrictions on maritime routes. The Iranian side stated that the continuation of the sea blockade would be assessed as a hostile act. It was mentioned that if the situation does not change, the country may not restore transport movement through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
Officials also noted that the possibility of lifting the blockade by force, if necessary, is not ruled out. This raises concerns that tensions in the region could further escalate.
