Three more people executed in Iran on espionage charges

Today, May 2, Yaqub Karimpur and Nosir Bekarzoda were executed in the West Azerbaijan province of northwestern Iran for spying for the Israeli regime's Mossad intelligence service. Additionally, a death sentence was carried out against an individual accused of collecting intelligence near the Natanz nuclear site in the central Isfahan province. This was reported by the Supreme Court of Iran.

According to the statement from the Supreme Court of Iran, the initial sentences handed down to the convicts were upheld, and the executions were carried out after the completion of legal proceedings. The sentences were executed by hanging early this morning, May 2.

According to case files, during the 12-day US and Israeli incursion against Iran in July 2025, Karimpur and Bekarzoda were in active contact with a Mossad officer, providing classified information about several sensitive Iranian locations and specific individuals in exchange for cryptocurrency.

"They received thorough training from a Mossad officer on how to manufacture bombs, successfully built several with their own hands, and managed to detonate them at designated locations. Furthermore, the convicts regularly sent images and videos of the blast sites to their handlers. The video recordings were subsequently broadcast on the Israel-funded news channel 'Iran International' to portray the political situation in Iran as unstable," the official statement from the Supreme Court of Iran reads.

In addition, Karimpur instructed criminal groups to carry out acts of sabotage, such as setting fire to ATMs in the cities of Karaj and Mashhad in exchange for payment.

Iranian security forces also determined that the spies had provided the Israeli intelligence service with the locations and photographs of the Natanz uranium enrichment plant and other critical national complexes, as well as information regarding certain government bodies, religious scholars, and local officials.
