Another tragic incident has occurred involving migrants traveling from northern France toward Great Britain. It is reported that two young women died while attempting to cross the sea in a small boat.
According to preliminary information, there were more than 80 people on the boat. Most of them are said to be migrants who chose the dangerous route in search of a better life. The incident occurred on Sunday, and rescue services arrived at the scene immediately.
French officials note that the number of people attempting to cross into Britain illegally has decreased somewhat compared to last year. However, despite this trend, such journeys across the English Channel remain extremely dangerous.
Experts emphasize that attempts to cross the sea in small, overloaded boats often end in tragedy. Rapidly changing weather conditions, waves, and a lack of safety measures pose a serious threat to human life.
At the same time, despite intensified efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat illegal migration, such attempts have not ceased. Many people continue to strive to reach European countries, even while putting their lives at risk.
