Pickleball team plane crashes tragically in Texas

A light aircraft carrying a sports team has crashed in the U.S. state of Texas. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of five people. The Associated Press reported this, citing local authorities.

According to reports, the crash occurred on April 30 of this year in the Wimberley area, approximately 64 kilometers from Austin. The Cessna 421C aircraft had departed from Amarillo and was en route to New Braunfels.

The plane was carrying members of the Amarillo Pickleball Club. They were traveling to participate in a pickleball tournament. Club representative Dan Dyer stated that another plane was flying the same route at the same time and reached its destination successfully.

According to meteorological services, the area experienced partly cloudy conditions before the tragedy, followed by lightning and thunderstorms. These conditions may have complicated flight operations.

For reference, pickleball is a modern sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The incident is being received with great sorrow among U.S. sports teams.
