UAE air defense destroys Iranian drones

Another serious security incident has been recorded in the United Arab Emirates. Two unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran were timely detected and successfully destroyed by the country's defense systems.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, the incident occurred on May 10. Air defense systems promptly neutralized the threat, resulting in no casualties or injuries. It was also noted that no damage was caused to ground infrastructure.
Officials stated that ensuring the country's security and territorial integrity is a priority, and that a high state of combat readiness is being maintained against any potential threat.
According to reports, against the backdrop of rising tensions with Iran, UAE air defense systems have repelled large-scale attacks recently. Specifically, 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,265 drones have been destroyed during this period.
At the same time, it was reported that 230 people of various nationalities were injured as a result of the attacks, and the death toll reached 13.
Experts believe such incidents indicate that the geopolitical situation in the region remains unstable. Therefore, it is crucial to further strengthen security measures and continuously improve defense systems.
