The reports state that Starmer has expressed his intention to leave the premiership to close friends. It is noted that, recognizing the current political situation, he wishes to hand over the position in a "dignified and peaceful" manner.
At the same time, it is not yet clear when his resignation will be announced. According to political analysis, it is not excluded that this process could take place within the coming months.
Following the Labour Party's defeat in the local elections in May, nearly a hundred MPs demanded the Prime Minister's resignation. During that period, internal government discontent grew, leading to the resignation of several high-ranking officials.
