Iran Announces Strike on Airbase Used by the US

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that it had struck an airbase used by the US in response to American military actions in the Bandar Abbas area. According to the Iranian state television channel IRIB, US forces had previously launched an aerial attack on a facility near Bandar Abbas airport.
According to the Tasnim news agency, the Iranian retaliatory strikes were carried out around 04:50 local time. However, the exact location of the targeted airbase has not yet been disclosed.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces shot down four Iranian kamikaze drones and struck a drone control station in Bandar Abbas. The command stated that these actions were taken "solely for defensive purposes" and to maintain the ceasefire regime.
At the same time, US media outlets are reporting that air defense systems in Kuwait have repelled missile and drone attacks. So far, neither side has provided specific information regarding potential casualties or material damage.
