Is GM Increasing Cobalt Prices?

UzAuto Motors has announced that some configurations of Chevrolet Cobalt cars will be removed from sale, leaving only the most expensive version — Cobalt Midnight — available for purchase. This has sparked debates about whether prices are being covertly raised.

The Midnight version, available from January 16, is priced at 155,231,000 UZS. To compare, previous configurations were priced as follows:

• Cobalt GS-Style Plus MT: 125,210,000 UZS. This model featured a manual transmission, lightweight alloy wheels, and a basic interior. It is no longer available for sale.
  
• Cobalt GX-Style Plus AT: 147,916,000 UZS. This model included an automatic transmission, newly designed alloy wheels, a chrome grille, and tinted windows. It, too, has been discontinued.
