BYD launches two new models in Kazakhstan
The Chinese company BYD is actively expanding its presence in the European market, reported cenyavto.com. The company is already building a large manufacturing plant in Hungary with an annual capacity of up to 350,000 vehicles. Additionally, another BYD facility is set to open in Turkey by 2026. However, the company is now moving towards global expansion, and today it officially launched sales in Kazakhstan.

BYD introduced the Han EV electric sedan and the Song Plus hybrid crossover to the local market. According to officials, all models have been adapted to Kazakhstan’s climate and road conditions. The Han EV recently received an upgrade with a higher-quality battery. In China, this sedan is priced at approximately 2.28 million rubles in equivalent currency.

The standard Han EV comes with a 204-horsepower electric motor, producing 310 Nm of torque, and a battery providing a driving range of 506 km. The next versions offer a 228-horsepower motor with a new battery supporting 800-volt fast charging, extending the range to 605 km. The top-tier model features a 245-horsepower motor with a range of 245 km.

The Song Plus crossover is equipped with a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter engine and a 197-horsepower electric motor. The fully electric version delivers up to 204 horsepower.
