Chinese premium car brand Lixiang is officially entering the Russian market. According to Cenyavto.com, Sinomach Auto — already working with Oting and Rox — has begun hiring for its Moscow office, seeking lawyers, warranty managers, and PR staff. This marks a clear step toward full-scale operations and sales.
Previously, Lixiang vehicles only reached Russia via parallel import schemes, leading to various issues such as lack of service, the need for manual software localization, and warranty repair difficulties. With the arrival of an official distributor, these problems should be resolved — a full service network and official warranty coverage will be available.
Experts note that Lixiang's move into Russia is a logical progression. The brand has gained popularity despite unofficial supply channels. Its lineup includes noteworthy models like the flagship Lixiang L9 — a spacious hybrid SUV with a range of up to 1100 km.
An official announcement from Sinomach Auto is still pending. It remains unclear which models will launch first, when sales will start, and what pricing will be. Nonetheless, this is good news for Chinese car fans — they will finally be able to buy Lixiang vehicles with full service support and without gray-market hassles.
