BYD U7 gets next-gen digital suspension
Ahead of its March 27 premiere, BYD has demonstrated the remarkable capabilities of the new Yangwang U7’s suspension, Speedme.ru reported. In a promo video, a martial artist performs Wing Chun moves on the roof of the moving car — all while the vehicle travels on uneven terrain, and the body remains nearly motionless.

This feat is possible thanks to the next-gen YunNian-Z digital suspension system. It operates without fluid and is controlled directly by electric motors. The system responds to road changes in just 10 milliseconds, far faster than traditional adaptive dampers.

The U7 is built on a high-tech digital chassis, featuring not only YunNian-Z but also the YiSiFang system that enables four-dimensional movement. This makes it the world’s first production EV with full digital body stabilization.

The model will be available in both hybrid and fully electric versions and will serve as BYD’s new flagship. Technologies once reserved for aerospace and motorsport are now embedded in a road-going sedan, setting a new benchmark for driving dynamics and comfort.
