Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor has been conditionally allowed to sell its cars in Uzbekistan, according to UzTEST.
On April 7, representatives of Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., led by Gu Jiwen, visited Uzbekistan for discussions. As a result, two Leapmotor C16 vehicles underwent repeat electromagnetic compatibility testing on April 14 in Pskent and passed the tests based on UN Regulation No. 10.
The permission includes:
Appointing an official local legal representative;
Providing full documentation for vehicle type approval;
Assessing production conditions at Leapmotor factories.
Previously, certification for Leapmotor was suspended after a defect was found in the S16 model with electromagnetic interference 16 times above the standard. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
