Munich airport resumes operations
Munich airport reopened flights on Saturday morning after being closed due to a drone sighting. The airport administration said flights resumed from 7:00 a.m., but delays are expected throughout the day.

Within 24 hours, the runways were closed for the second time. As a result, dozens of flights were canceled and thousands of passengers were stranded at the airport. Passengers were temporarily provided with blankets, camp beds, and food.

In recent weeks, several drone sightings in Europe have caused major disruptions in aviation. Some officials suspect Russia’s involvement, but this has not been confirmed.

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said he would speed up legislation allowing the police to use military forces to prevent such situations.
