The Center for Economic Research and Reforms has published another analysis of the country's automobile traffic and exchange market. It was reported that in October, the sale of motor vehicles increased significantly, with stable growth recorded in all key segments.
According to the Center, a total of 112.5 thousand vehicles were sold nationwide in October - almost 11% more than in September. In particular, the revival of the passenger car segment has further strengthened the positive dynamics in the overall market.
Sales of passenger cars in the primary and secondary markets increased by 12.7% and reached 95.4 thousand units. In terms of regions, the highest growth was recorded in Namangan, Jizzakh, and Bukhara - in these regions, sales rose by more than 20%. Nevertheless, a slight decrease in activity was observed in the Samarkand region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Primary market situation
According to the results of October, sales of passenger cars in the primary market increased by 19%. This means that more than 6 thousand new cars were sold during the month. The figure for new domestically produced cars reached 33.4 thousand units - 22% higher than in September.
Sales of new foreign cars also increased, albeit slightly. In this segment, 4.5 thousand cars went on sale, which is an increase of 1.1 percent.
Secondary market activity
In October, positive dynamics were also observed in the secondary market. Sales of passenger cars in this segment increased by 9% and exceeded 57.4 thousand units.
Interest in electric vehicles, in particular, has grown significantly: sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market exceeded 3,000 units, with a monthly growth of 15.2%. Interestingly, this figure is 2.3 times higher than in the same period last year.
Such activity in the car market, according to experts, is associated with the restoration of the population's purchasing power, the introduction of new models, and the expansion of credit and financing opportunities. Market dynamics are expected to continue in December.
