1153 hp and V8 sound: New Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe unveiled

Mercedes-AMG has officially unveiled its new all-electric GT 4-Door Coupe. Moving away from the brand's traditional V8 engine or hybrid systems, this vehicle is based on the all-new AMG.EA electric platform. Debates regarding the body type continue: while named a "four-door coupe," its exterior resembles a fastback, and the lift-up rear door makes it closer to a liftback. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The top-tier GT 63 4Matic+ version of the new model is equipped with three electric motors, delivering a total of 1153 hp and 2000 Nm of torque. The car reaches 100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/h. For those wanting less power, an 805 hp GT 55 variant is also offered.
The electric vehicle is powered by a 106 kWh battery and an 800-volt architecture. This technology allows the car to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 11 minutes, with 10 minutes of charging providing 460 km of range. The total range is around 700 km, while the AMG Active Ride Control suspension system and rear-wheel steering ensure vehicle maneuverability.
The interior features a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch multimedia screen, and a separate display for the passenger. To bring back familiar AMG sensations, engineers have implemented a V8 engine sound simulation and a virtual transmission function. In the market, this model will primarily compete with the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT.
