Actor Turned into Seven Tomatoes meme: "My Image Taken from Life"

Theater and film actor Dilmurod Uzoqov, who caused widespread discussion with his "Seven Tomatoes" scene in the TV novella "Confession," gave an interview to the YouTube channel "Interview TV." In the interview, he spoke openly about how the image of a mischievous father-in-law was born, why the role became a "mem," and the role of life observations in creativity.

According to the actor, a true performance is not just memorizing the text, but bringing the character to life by "absorbing" the character's character, age, and life path into the actor's mind. For this reason, he emphasizes that he used the character, facial expressions, and habits of a person he knew in life in the role of a mischievous father-in-law.

- When it comes to tomatoes, they immediately remember me. Everyone is laughing, but there's a big meaning behind it. "Because I played the role of a real person, someone I know," says Dilmurod Uzoqov.

He also remembers the event that inspired the image: while two craftsmen were working in one household, the bride prepared a table for eight people. Then the man in the house said to the bride: "Daughter-in-law, I wonder if craftsmen work for 10 days like this." The actor adapted this character, accustomed to petty calculations and mischief, for the stage.

The issue of honorarium was also touched upon in the conversation. According to him, roles in telenovelas are usually paid the same - from 700 to 800 thousand soums per novella. However, he says that his main income is not from this, he also works at the institute. He emphasizes that even if there is no honorarium for the role of a mischievous father-in-law, he will still play this character, putting forward the idea that "an actor should always play the role."

Dilmurod Uzakov also shared a personal memory from his life: his son remembered taking a bicycle photo at the fair on Navoi Street when he was little, dreaming that "someday I would live here," and then in 1999 he bought a house in the same place, and his dream came true.

The actor emphasized that "it's not all about the tomatoes," the main thing is to clearly portray the character that the audience can recognize and encounter in life. That's why the "Seven Tomatoes" scene is remembered by people not only for its humor but also for its real character.
