Singer Dilnoz Khakimova, during an interview in the “Oshxona talk” project, openly answered the question about why she cried during her nikah ceremony.
To the question: “I saw your reel, you were crying during nikah. Why?”, she said:
“I myself don’t exactly know why I cried. During nikah, usually very emotional and strong words are said. When the imam was speaking, my feelings became overwhelming inside, and I could not hold back my tears. When I saw myself crying, I also felt a bit embarrassed. I even worried that the imam might think, ‘Is this girl being forced into marriage?’”, the singer said.
According to her, her husband was also surprised:
“My husband was also surprised. He kept asking, ‘Are you in pain? Is everything okay?’ At that moment, it was probably some spiritual moment, my heart was beating very fast, the emotions were very strong,” she added.
She also recalled a small funny moment after the nikah:
“After the nikah, I went away with my friends. When my husband called, I didn’t answer,” said Dilnoz Khakimova.
