Matyoqub Matchonov and Ra’no Yarasheva Awarded the Honorary Title of People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Chairman of the Creative Association of Cinema Workers of Uzbekistan, renowned film actor Matyoqub Matchonov, and actress of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater Ra’no Yarasheva have been awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan." This was announced in the President's decree "On awarding a group of workers in the fields of culture, art, and literature."
Also, by this decree, the artistic director of the Palace of Culture of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, actor Uchqun Tillayev, and the artist-musician of the Yunus Rajabiy "Maqom" ensemble of the Uzbek National Center for Maqom Art, Abdurahmon Xoltojiyev, were awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
Matyoqub Matchonov is considered one of the artists who has won the love of audiences in Uzbek cinema and theater through his unique performance style, sincere images, and folk roles. He is widely known for his roles in many films such as "Bozor ko‘rmagan yigit," "Shabnam," "Tilim qursin," "Mening akam bo‘ydoq," "Endi dadam bo‘ydoq," and "Sotqin."
The actor was previously awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Uzbekistan" and the "Do‘stlik" (Friendship) Order. This "People's Artist" title demonstrates the worthy recognition of his many years of creative work and his contribution to stage and film art. Ra’no Yarasheva was also deemed worthy of this high award as one of the creators who has earned the respect of audiences through her work in theater.
