Annual inflation rate in Uzbekistan has slightly increased

In January of this year, the consumer price index in Uzbekistan increased by 0.6%. As a result of these changes, the annual inflation rate rose from 7.2% in the previous month to 7.3%. Economic analysis shows that price changes in markets vary across different product categories.
Price volatility remains in the food market. Specifically, in January, tomatoes became 12.1% more expensive, and pumpkins by 11.7%. At the same time, the price of cucumbers decreased by 13.8%, providing some relief for the population. In the services sector, railway transport prices increased by 14%, which was the highest growth rate among services last month.
A mixed situation is also observed in the fuel market. Although gasoline prices fell by 0.5%, propane prices rose by 1.9%. Methane gas prices remained stable with no significant changes. Experts emphasize that this level of inflation is one of the main factors affecting economic processes.
