By the end of the week, the price of a barrel of oil exceeded the $90 threshold. Experts point to logistical problems in the Strait of Hormuz as the main factor in price growth. The cessation of the transport of 15 million barrels of oil per day through this region dealt a serious blow to the global supply chain. This situation has once again brought the issue of energy security in the global economy to the forefront.
In the current situation, market participants and analysts are closely monitoring how prices will change in the coming days. If military tensions in the region do not subside, the possibility of further oil price increases remains. This, in turn, could lead to higher transport and production costs.
