Central Bank Announces New Exchange Rates for April 23

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established new exchange rates for foreign currencies against the som, effective from April 23, 2026. According to the announcement, all major foreign currencies in the market depreciated against the national currency.
The US dollar rate decreased by 18.06 som, settling at 12,042.49 som. The euro also showed a significant declining trend, depreciating by 35.69 som and set at 14,147.52 som. The British pound sterling dropped by 2.71 som to 16,282.65 som.
Additionally, the Russian ruble depreciated by 0.77 som to 160.55 som. The Swiss franc was recorded at 15,415.37 som (-50.84), the Chinese yuan at 1,764.91 som (-4.48), and the Japanese yen at 75.57 som (-0.18). These updated rates serve as the basis for banking operations and customs payments.
