Anthropic, a company operating in the field of artificial intelligence, has been valued at $1 trillion in the secondary market. According to Business Insider, the startup that created the Claude chatbot has surpassed its main competitor, OpenAI, in terms of value.
Currently, OpenAI's market value is estimated at $880 billion. Anthropic shares have not yet been released for public trading, and stakes remain held only by current and former employees of the company, as well as early investors.
The sharp increase in the company's value was observed over the last two months. Previously, Anthropic was valued at $380 billion.
Experts attribute this growth to government contracts and the closed presentation of the Claude Mythos project.
