AI-80 Gasoline Price Exceeds 10 Million — Record Set
In Uzbekistan, the price of AI-80 gasoline has reached a historical record for the first time since the beginning of 2025. On July 10, the exchange price per ton reached 10.19 million soums.

This is the highest figure recorded so far this year, and it is noted that the government’s removal of price restrictions contributed to the increase.

According to official data from the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange, the price of AI-80 gasoline has been steadily rising since July 4. This followed the June 2024 decision by the Antimonopoly Committee to lift the 5 percent price growth cap for this type of fuel.

After this decision, sales volume decreased:
- 1,805 tons were sold in June,
- By early July, the figure dropped to 1,650 tons — a decrease of 8.6 percent.

On July 10, the price of AI-80 rose by another 0.5 percent, reaching 10.19 million soums per ton. This means the fuel has become 7.7 percent more expensive within one month.

It is worth recalling that in November 2024, the maximum price for AI-80 was set at 9,377,555 soums. Currently, this restriction is no longer in force.

AI-80 gasoline is mainly produced at the Bukhara Oil Refinery. Due to its affordability, this type of fuel was widely used across the country.

At the same time, the President has set specific goals to gradually reduce the use of AI-80 and transition to environmentally friendly fuel.

According to experts, this trend will contribute to a more eco-conscious approach in the country and accelerate the transition to new generation technologies and fuel types.
