A lieutenant colonel working in internal affairs was detained in the Mirobod district

During operational-search activities carried out by the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office in the direction of combating corruption, a violation of the law was revealed in the system of internal affairs bodies.

The head of a department of the Department for Coordination of the Activities of Internal Affairs Bodies of the Mirobod District of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city, holding the military rank of lieutenant colonel, U.S., promised to change the preventive measure applied to a citizen against whom a criminal case had been initiated by the Investigation Department of the Coordination Department of Internal Affairs of the Yakkasaray District under Article 273 of the Criminal Code — from detention to bail — and received 18 thousand US dollars from the accused person's relative.

However, after failing to fulfill his promise, he was detained with physical evidence while returning part of the received amount.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this official under Articles 168 and 211 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied. Investigative actions are underway. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
