Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva, during her visit to Kyrgyzstan, took part in the closing ceremony of the Zakovat Asian Cup II intellectual tournament and delivered a heartfelt speech.
In her address, she emphasized the friendship and solidarity between neighboring peoples. According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, once-closed borders were opened, barbed wires dividing villages — with Uzbeks on one side and Kyrgyz on the other — were removed. As a result, separated families reunited, and children returned to the embrace of their parents.
On this occasion, she recalled the words of the Hero of Uzbekistan, enlightener and scholar Ozod Sharafiddinov: “Chingiz Aitmatov’s White Ship is a ship of hope, a ship of salvation for humanity,” noting that time itself has confirmed this truth.
As Saida Mirziyoyeva pointed out, today, when various conflicts, threats and unrest are intensifying in the world, in Central Asia, particularly in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect prevails. This is recognized not only by our peoples but also by the international community.
In her opinion, such results are the outcome of the firm political will of the two heads of state — Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sadyr Japarov. “The exemplary path demonstrated by the leaders of our countries is the guarantee of the peace of our peoples and the progress of our states. Because today not only borders are open, but also our hearts,” she said.
Saida Mirziyoyeva also paid special attention to the topic of youth. According to her, young people are working shoulder to shoulder in science, culture, art, sports, entrepreneurship, and intellectual competitions, and they are achieving great results.
It should be reminded that Saida Mirziyoyeva visited Bishkek on August 19–20, where she met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and with the Head of the Presidential Administration and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adilbek Kasymaliev. She also took part in the international forum “Woman — a leader changing the world for the better,” held in the capital.
