It was a sad day for the teachings and residents of the Fergana region. On September 7, 11 people died as a result of a horrific road accident in the city of Angren.
This was announced in an official decree signed by the governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov. According to the order, 6 people were injured in the accident and hospitalized. According to preliminary data, the internal affairs bodies reported 7 deaths, while another 5 were hospitalized, and 4 were sent home after receiving medical assistance.
The regional khokimiyat has determined measures to provide material and psychological support to the families of the deceased, and to organize funerals. The injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance and treatment at the Angren City Medical Association.
For information, the incident occurred on September 7 at 12:20 on the A-373 Tashkent-Osh international highway passing through the Angren region. A large truck loaded with cement lost control and collided with two other trucks and five cars parked at a railway crossing. As a result of the collision, a fire broke out, and many people died.
A criminal case has been initiated, and the investigation is still ongoing. This tragic incident demonstrates the need to further strengthen security measures for the local population and road traffic.
