Fine for illegal tree cutting in Karakalpakstan


The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted another inspection raid in the Karakalpakstan region. During the raid, it was found that a resident of Buzatau district, O.A.,

illegally cut down 6 willow trees in the territory of the district's forestry lands. Regarding this case, in accordance with Article 79, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, citizen O.A. was fined 3,790,400 UZS.

Additionally, compensation of 10,300,000 UZS for damage caused to nature is to be collected.
