Shop in Nukus penalized for unfair competition


The press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection has reported. The Committee identified that the trading point of the "SUPERSHOP" Limited Liability Company, located in Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan, used the advertisement term "cheapest" on social media platforms.

The advertisement was posted on Instagram and did not include comparative descriptions or specific parameters contrasting the products with competing entities. According to the Committee's investigation, it was found that the requirements of Article 21 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Competition" were violated.

Due to this violation, the Committee's Special Commission initiated proceedings against "SUPERSHOP" LLC. After reviewing the case, legal explanations were provided to the company, and instructions were given to eliminate the violation.
