In the Dehqonobod district of Kashkadarya region, a severe snowstorm disrupted traffic on a section of the highway. As a result, several vehicles were left stranded, and Emergency Ministry rescuers evacuated 10 citizens to a safe area. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
The incident was recorded on January 23 at 20:00 (Tashkent time) in the «Mustaqillik» mahalla area. The weather suddenly deteriorated, with strong winds and a snowstorm making travel difficult. Traffic was restricted on some sections, and the stranded vehicles were unable to continue their journey.
Rescuers were dispatched to the scene in a special off-road vehicle; they evacuated citizens from the dangerous area and transported them to a safe location.
The Emergency Ministry reminded that winter weather can change rapidly and advised checking the forecast before traveling, avoiding trips in adverse conditions whenever possible, and contacting emergency services if needed.
