In Turkey, an Uzbek woman fell from the fourth floor

In Izmir, Turkey, a 22-year-old Uzbek woman, Sevdora Hakimjonova, fell from the fourth floor of her home. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

She is currently being treated in a state hospital, and according to doctors’ information, her condition is serious.

According to information, Hakimjonova married a Turkish citizen based on an imam marriage, but this marriage was not officially registered. The marriage ceremony was held in Chust district, Namangan region. Later, they came to Izmir and lived in one household with the groom’s close relatives. In addition, her spouse also has hearing and speech impairments, like Sevdora.

Regarding the incident, Turkish law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case, and investigative actions are ongoing. Collected materials are being reviewed by the prosecution in due course.

The situation is under the control of the Consulate General, and legal measures are being taken.
