In Bukhara city, a serious road traffic accident occurred on April 15. The driver of a Chery vehicle, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, caused the traffic accident.

According to reports, a citizen born in 1981, while driving along Alpomish Street, crashed into the rear of an Onix vehicle that was stopped to allow pedestrians to cross. After that, he lost control and collided with a Lacetti vehicle, which was also yielding to pedestrians in the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, during the incident, a child born in 2021 who was crossing the pedestrian crossing was also hit. In addition, another vehicle was damaged during the movement, and the driver fled the scene.

During the investigation, it was confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. His intoxication was officially documented in accordance with the procedure.

A report was drawn up against him under Article 131 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. The driver may face deprivation of driving rights for up to 3 years and a fine of 40 times the basic calculation amount.
