From April 17-23 this year, a comprehensive and meaningful info tour was organized across Tashkent, Khorezm region, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan as part of the “Destination Karakalpakstan 2026” forum. This initiative is considered a significant step towards actively promoting the country's tourism potential internationally.

Leading tour operators from nearly 20 European and Asian countries participated in this info tour. Specialists from countries including France, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and China had the opportunity to closely explore Uzbekistan's tourism potential.

The main goals of the info tour were to showcase the country's tourism potential globally, develop new tourist routes, and strengthen practical cooperation with foreign partners. In this regard, the event served not only as an introduction but also as a solid foundation for future investments and collaborations.

At the beginning of the tour program, participants familiarized themselves with Tashkent's modern image, its rapidly developing infrastructure, and new tourist facilities under construction. The renovations and conveniences in the capital left a great impression on the guests.

The delegation then traveled to Khorezm region. Here, they visited unique historical sites such as Ichan Kala, Nurullaboy Palace, and other ancient sites in the city of Khiva. Through these areas, guests gained a close understanding of the country's architectural heritage, historical urban planning traditions, and cultural wealth accumulated over centuries.

The most impactful part of the info tour continued in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Here, participants visited unique historical monuments like Ayaz Kala and Chilpik Kala. These sites showcased traces of ancient civilizations, distinctive architecture, and the region's rich history.

Furthermore, the unique nature of the Aral Sea region, its distinct ecological environment, and developing ecotourism opportunities also sparked great interest among the guests. Specifically, during the visit to yurt camps, detailed information was provided about the tourist infrastructure created in the desert region, living conditions based on national traditions, and services offered to tourists.

Participants also enjoyed national cuisine and had the opportunity to directly experience the hospitality of the local population and their traditional way of life. This once again demonstrated that Uzbekistan is a country rich not only in historical and natural aspects but also culturally.

Overall, this info tour is gaining importance as a significant initiative that will elevate Uzbekistan's tourism potential to a new level, further strengthen ties with foreign partners, and secure a more established place for the country on the global tourism map.
