An official working in the preschool education system in the Sirdaryo region was apprehended with a bribe. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was revealed that the woman, born in 1986, had been working as the director of a state preschool educational organization affiliated with the Department of Preschool and School Education in the Sirdaryo district. She had promised to help a citizen get their child employed at the kindergarten she managed and demanded 2.5 million soums in return.
During this agreement process, the director received 200,000 soums of the requested money as an advance payment to her plastic card. Following this, an operational event was organized by law enforcement agencies.
During an operation conducted in cooperation with the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, and the State Security Service, the official was caught red-handed while receiving the remaining 2.3 million soums, along with material evidence.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are being carried out regarding this incident. Officials stated that all details of the event are being thoroughly investigated.
